Anybody know where I can get a set of top side racks and a soap dish for a KD-2P?

Actually, I'm not sure if there was a soap dish. I do remember directions on Cascade that said you could put two tablespoons on the bottom of the tub. On my sister's KDI16 the soap dispenser doesn't work so I use two Electrosol tabs, one at the beginning and then I open the door to add another at the long wash period. Now, my BIL tries to use only one tab at the beginning - you have to use two!. Electrosol tabs would probably work in your Hobart too.

To answer your question Veg....
When KitchenAid dishwashers were made by Hobart, I don't believe that they incorporated the date into the serial or model numbers. The models were consecutive 10, 11, etc. I have a production date sheet that tells the month and year of when the models were released and then discontinued.

Soap Dish
There was a soap "dish",a small screen-cup on the top rack.You cannot put the soap at tub bottom,because this machine has a simultaneous fill-drain purge at the beginning and it would flush it down the drain before the wash portion.You can use a tea strainer on the top rack as a substitute for now.

I notice that the fill on the KD-2P is a spray fill. That is, it enters at mid-level and a diverter spreads the flow in a shower pattern across the tub, just under the upper rack. In any case, any soap dish or tea strainer would have to be on the upper rack to avoid getting wetted and spent before the main wash beings.
