Note in step 9 that it cleans itself. This was listed in the advantages of the automatics because the user did not have to clean and dry the machine after using it. Are we going backwards much? This washer even had a little flip down wire bail under the lid handle that kept the top up about an inch so that everything could dry out after the machine was used.
