This looks like the last of the line for McClary appliances in Canada.  In the early 1970s, McClary, Beatty, and Easy (Canada) merged - I don't have a lot of documentation about the company at this point, but the Beatty company in Ontario was calling the shots.  They couldn't compete with GE or Inglis machines built in Canada, and they did eventually merge with CAMCO, who built GE, Hotpoint, and Moffat appliances.   

 

I don't remember seeing a lot of McClary/Easy automatics from this era - lots of wringers, though!
 
Unusual washer, at least here in the USA. It looks as though it evolved from a solid tub Hotpoint or Easy machine. I thought these interesting machines, but have never seen one.
 
Well, that would explain why I thought the dryer appeared to have a door and handle much like the Westinghouse dryers of the same vintage.
