Does anyone know if this was the first time, after the initial waterfall front models, that KM dryers were offered with side swing doors?

I wonder about the story behind the term "Fabric Master" for the time-temp auto dry. Before Sears had it, the words appeared on the control panel of the 1958 Frigidaire Custom Imperial Dryer which did not have an auto dry cycle.

I remember our first Kenmore dryer had the side swing door and the UV lamp. I probably would have been about 5 when I began to notice such things, that light especially. Mom bought her first automatic washer, a Kenmore frog-eye around 1955/56 the year I was born and the first Simpson-Sears stores opened here. The dryer had to be a few years later because it didn't match the washer and it had the squared off look console with the chrome trim etc and 3 color coded programs around the dial. I'm guessing before that she just used to dry clothes on the line
