POD Yay for Kenmore!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

What I found interesting about the POD was the illustration of the Vari-Flex agitator doesn't have vanes extending up the column the way mine does. I wanted to cut mine off as I thought it made it too rough, even with the fins pulled in. Don't worry Kenmore purists, I didn't cut them!

I can tell you with certainty that that particular dryer's control panel layout and those style knobs were used on various models produced from '66 to around '69. If I was betting on it, I would say 1968. Does this look familiar?:

That's probably because it's a Canadian Vari-Flex.

That agitator with its fins fully "flexed' creates some of the most exciting and energetic and rhythmic action I've ever experienced.

ROBERT ! EXCELLENT COMIC RELIEF WHEN YOU PODed the infamous Blackstone, the day after the predation. Thank You--healing too.

Canadian??

Why would they be different? Jack is pointing out the added height of the fins on the white version I have.

I suspected it was because my Vari-Flex was from a later machine - maybe the cap-medallion says "Maxi-Flex with Wings" I just don't remember...

best bud

I love the Beagle.

Does he like washers too?

Cool how he's sniffing critically near the wings: "Gee, what are these weird things doin' here? They weren't on my older and better Lady Kenmore ! Maybe later, I'll just gnaw them off for Master.

What a handsome fellah!!!!

... and sorry guys, but not talking about the agitator!
We're about to move to a house from an apartment in the city and once we do, the first purchase will be a dog basket and matching Beagle!!!

Maybe the owner can give us some tips on what to look out for?

Peter and Beagle lover, Rod!

That's Jack

I cheated a little and smeared a bit of peanut butter on the vane I wanted to "point out" - he falls for it everytime!

Beagles are wonderful dogs, but get a good vacuum as they shed constantly. This one is fortunately very quiet, rarely do we hear that blood curdling moan-bark so common with hounds. I think it has something to do with being the runt of the litter, they learned early on they wouldn't get anything by barking constantly - at least that's what I was told by a friend who owned a kennel for many years, seems to be true. He is sweet dog and Beagles are usually very good with small children which was important to us as Skyler was young and rather timid of dogs when we got Jack.
