I'd keep the mid 80's GE Filter-Flo. As much as I like the old Maytag Highlander, the GE just does a better job and parts are more readily available for me to keep it going longer! Modern machines considered? Pffff.....

I would keep the one I have (a something-or-other-bottom-to-middle-of-the-line-that-Rich's-father-picked-out-when-he-was-in-charge-of-Rich's-grandfather's-finances model) until I need to replace it. Or, until my pookie-schnookums convinces me to put in the turquoise Westinghouse FL from the '50's... if it fits.

I'd definitely keep my 1968 GE pair, no question. Could I at least keep two agitators though?
