Although his choices in color for the paint job is a bit silly, at least he did a good job with it. The paint is nice and smooth.

Who would put it out in their kitchen?

Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies!

The paint may be smooth, but the decals are all crooked & the stripes on the bowls are terrible! Oh well, different strokes I guess.

Oh-no--What a good butcher job on a HB mixer!Wonder what HB has to say about this? Now are we going to see a JD tractor painted to look like a HB mixer in a future EBay auction??This is shocking. The perfect mixer for the farmer who has a JD tractor-hope he doesn't try to share the attachments!!Imagine the JD tractor with the HB juicer on it and the mixer with the bush hog?

That Poor-poor Sunbeam made up to look like a HD motorcycle--I am afraid that EBay seller needs to go to the funny farm. She or he is BUTCHERING beautiful machines. Please leave them orig. They forgot the saddlebags!!!Now we need a Sunbeam Motorcycle! This is ridiculus as the Hoover vac with the "Sparklies "in the other thread. How NOT to "Restore" or sell vintage appliances!!

Hey, that is pretty cool. A very good friend of mine collects John Deere memoribilia, and I know that if his wife would allow it to be displayed in the kitchen he would bid on it in a heartbeat.

Think that is bad, check this out - WARNING RANT

And sorry, but I am going to "rant" for a moment. Maybe I can get, no, take that back, I KNOW I will get a better more intelligent response from this forum. :-)

This photo was snatched from another forum I TRY to participate in, but, they keep rejecting my posts, because I got pissy with the forum moderators, after they kept rejecting my posts, for the most stupid reasons. Evidentally being nice, doesn't work.

All I wanted was a parts list for my K4-B. They had it, I sent my address, then they lost it, and I reposted, they said send it again, I did, they rejected my post, and this went on 2-3 more times. Oh I just left a REALLY nasty one this morning, and told them with a bunch of hateful devil face icons that I just didn't give a **&^%$** if they reject THAT post. Immature? Probably, but I don't **see above**. I'm sick of stupid people.

All I need is a parts list, so I can refurbish this KA. All I am missing is the set screw on her.

Instead, I think I am going to go to HD, or Lowes today and buy some braided hoses for the Maytag, and take the agitator off. I just hope and pray that in my heated "pissiness" I don't break something on her....

Thanks to Robert for a place to vent, rant, rage and stomp your feet, without serious reprimand and moderation.

This place will always rawk, all the others can take a flying leap up my @$$.

Thanks and good day to all.

WACEM

I belong to a yahoo group dedicated to mixers, hence WACEM, we actually collect electric mixers. The moderator is opinionated and overly cautious. The members are warm and supportive and off the site support and help each other. Kitchen Aid has an unbelievable telephone support system and you may find answers there. If the mixer isn't mixing, there is a shear pin designed to shear (concept) under heavy loads or jams. It is easy to replace and does not have to be KA issue. I had a disapointing experience with a new Kitchen Aid Pro 5 and shared it on line. Turns out there was a VP of market from Kitchen Aid, who was a lurker. He began to get too aggressive in spouting party line and trying to make us all believe the product was imroved with the Whirlpool merger and that every nut, part and screw turn was an American origin. As soon as members began holding his feet to the fire, we were all made to remove any post on the thread and agree to talk nice. AutomaticWashers is an amazing group because of the bond and the fact I am in the first place in my life I don't have to defend of explain myself. You make my heart warm and my eyes moist, guys!
Kelly

Wow Kelly, is this still Nancy we're talking about? I used to participate in that group years ago when it first formed, but haven't in a long time. It's too bad that sort of thing is going on.

Besides Kitchen aid mixers having a shear pin, there are also theatre projectors made in the 1940's & 1950's having a shear pin necessary for use with polyester film which are the 35 millimeter projectors made by Brenkert.
