Is it possible to make the fill and drain hoses longer on a portable dishwasher? Mine is the way when it's hooked up it blocks the sink and stove. I thought if I could make the hoses long enough it could stay in it's normal place without having to move it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Steve "Toggles"

has given info about how to do lengthen the Fill and Drain Hoses for a Dishwasher and Portable Washer before, actually not too long ago. They are quite similar Coupler items used for both the Portable Dishwasher and Washer.

Good luck, when you get some info about how to extend the Hoses on the Coupler Connector.

WHO ME?

GOOD QUESTION. I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE/DESIRE!

The hoses seen in the picture are those of the WASHER, not the DW.

I was able to add a dishwasher coupler to the exisitng hoses of my front-loading washer, (not on wheels) which is located 4 feet (1.2m)from the sink (there is a DW and a cabinet separating the washer from the sink). The drain pump struggles a bit in that the diameter of the drian hose is a bit smaller than that of the washer, but so far, so good!

Don't know if longer hoses on a "portability" coupler exist.
Will research and post agian later today.

Does anyone else know?

Here is the supply side connection. A brass fitting (no plastic, PLEASE!) allows two standard 3/4" hoses (male) to be connected together.

I was able to lengthen the hoses on my Whirlpool portable washer, all it took was metal coupler to lengthen the fill hoses. For the drain hoses I used a piece plastic attached the two pieces of drain hose to it and used a couple of hose clamps to make sure they don't come off.

I could lengthen the drain hose of the dishwasher the same way, but I don't know how to lengthen the fill hose for the dishwasher.

It is my belief that portable DW-ers' inlet valve has a 3/4" hose fititng, just as any clothes washer would.

So in theory one could just add a washer hose and a back-to-bck coupler between the machine and the exisitng house/coupler.

I just got through checking and cleaning the underside of my dishwasher yucky. You were correct it uses the standard 3/4" washing machine hose. I still have coupler that used on my portable washer so I can lengthen the fill hose, I think I saved the extra drain hose from that washer as well. I know what my project for Friday is.
