Remember, Virtually Spotless? Remember, how that tagline all went away, and millions of consumers ran from the sinking ship, after Cascade was reformulated to be phosphate free?
Well. The folks, at P&G have finally discovered the way to put that all behind them. And, it starts with reformulating from the bottom.
Yup. Remember old-school Cascade Powder & Gel. Remember how it was top selling, and then overnight, became practically useless for hard water households? Those formulations, rather liked by some or not, are now all gone. Seriously. There Gone.
And a new product line has emerged, replacing the little space, at the bottom. "Cascade with the Power of Clorox". A new product, now touted with the name of a competitor to grab the consumers eye. But, what's interesting about this "new" product... is the fact, that it's listed on the website as a "Complete Powder", and the MSDS Sheets seem to match.
You know what that means? They took a product, that was a horrible performer, and then just stuffed the box, with a very well performing product. Simply Repackaging it under a different name, literally.
And as for the old Cascade Powder. It's in a "market phaseout" status as I've been informed. Meaning, it's being planned to be slowly discontinued. And, in some markets, it's completely gone, and you only have the choice of powder with "Clorox".
This also seems to come at a time, that P&G is spending millions, on a national advertising campaign, convincing everyone just how horrible Finish is, compared to TOL Cascade. Coincidence? Maybe, Maybe Not.
Idk. I just thought that was interesting. Both, Cascade Gel & Cascade Powder, are now listed as a part of the Complete line, leaving me to believe the original line, will soon be gone with the wind, eventually.
