Purple Hotpoint Liberator... is it this one?

Ok so in 2008 we got the Hotpoint Liberator Dryer 1701 as the first piece of Purple History.

Shortly follwed by its almost matching cousin the Liberator Zanussi/Hotpoint

and not very long after the Liberator Compact dryer....

This year saw the rescue and restoration of the Liberator Top Loader

So now we can reveal the latest addition to the Hotpoint Liberator Collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen we proudly present

The HOTPOINT LIBERATOR DELUXE 1828

Paul painstakingly cleaned up old "Libby" after collecting her, doing a fab job as always she was worthy of being shown.

Thankyou to Paul for the love, effort and affection her put into her.

All washed up and polished she shows her real beauty despite her previous owners deciding to paint her once navy kickstrip a nice shade of S*** brown.

Anyone any ideas as to the correct shade and the best way to make her original again we would love to hear.

No jokes here - this really is a true Hotpoint Liberator 1828 as she left the factory with 3 legged suspension, back panel incl ratings plate, motor - early and slightly different to the later GEC motors.

No fakes here.

Our beloved "Libby" has arrived!

I'm speechless! I take it this is the one from Manchester? Is she working? The motor will sound interesting... Now only that we have at least one of the 2nd gen Hotpoint FL's have been found maybe our "Holy Grail" 1600/1830 will pop up by surprise. I hope I can feel the excitement of finding a rarity sometime. Show us more Rob! Congrats to you and Paul!
