What my kitchen might have looked like originally (kinda)...
Just for fun, this is a picture of a kitchen from a similar 1962 ranch house to ours with its mostly original kitchen, which has since been torn down (sigh)! Our house originally had a GE brand Electric Oven and cooktop I have been told (I have no idea of the color).
Can anyone identify this wall oven and cooktop? The cooktop looks to be gas grills. Our cabinets are now stained darker (yuk, blast the former owner), with handles, and kinda rearranged (not in a good way) due to the removal of the Wall Oven and the addition of a range where the cooktop was, and the tile is gone, replaced by crummy drywall (double YUK!!). Had I known they were going to tear that house down, I would have salvaged the kitchen and appliances but it happened really fast (one day the house was there, next all the walls were gone). I did find out from the demolition crew that the appliances were working fine but sold for scrap. GRRRRR...
