Rabbit Ears vs. Barbie Legs

Does anybody

remember the "Gay Bob" doll from the 70's? I remember some baptiust preacher going all hellfire and brimstone over it. He really would have gone over the edge if he knew his son had one! I went to highschool with the guy. I saw one of the dolls at a local auction a couple of years ago. It sold for a couple of hundred bucks! The guy that bought it reminded me of the preacher's son. Why is it called a doll when it's for a girl and an "action figure" when it's for a boy?
