Radiant and Drive

Do any UK members remember Radiant and Drive washing powder? I used to love the smell of Drive and my mum used Radiant in her twinnie when we were kids. The smell of the hot wash with those detergents is unforgetable. Shame they were discontinued.

Radiant Matic was my favorite

But I now swear by Drive matic.

Both are still available here. Drive has almost no scent, Radiant is strongly perfumed.

When I went to live in Australia I saw Radiant in the supermarket and jumped for joy!! I don't know what it is like now, it used to be in granules in a clear plastic container and very concentrated so a small cap did a huge washload. I tried Drive too but it wasn't the same as the UK one. I am guessing that the 'matic' means for FL's? There was only Omomatic and Cold Power for FL's as I recall but I guess as FL's become more popular the range will increase. I would love to be able to buy regular Cold Power. I can still smell it and it was so good at cleaning in cold water. Happy days in Oz!!!

Drive is made by unilever, Cold Power by colgate palmolive and radiant is made by cussons.
