As for my parents, mom drives a 2007 Lexus ES350,dad drives a leased 2009 Porsche Cayenne and his personal car is a 1997 Porsche boxter.

I drive a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle.

My dad drives a 2012 Honda CRZ but also has a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle but its motor is in pieces currently.

My mom drives a 2009 Honda Fit. She also has a 1961 Ford Thunderbird which is currently for sale. She wants to buy a convertible car. Like a mercedes SL500.

We also have a 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer.

Im not much of a honda person but this car is SWEET. 6 speed manual, 3 driving modes, futuristic dash.

The green expedition is my old truck. I traded that in for my Beetle

My moms Fit.

A zippy little car, but it reminds me of a prius when I drive it. Not my style. Can haul a ton of stuff in it though.

The boat is our old 1993 Wellcraft 24 footer cabin cruiser. We sold it the other day.

Here is the 61 thunderbird. As much as I like the car, my mom finds it quite impractical with no seat belts and such. Sad to see it go.

We haven't even put 75 miles on it since we have owned it.

I think seat belts can be added. At least, I seem to recall having heard of people doing that. A high school classmate had a 1950-something Plymouth, and I think he had seat belts added. But even with seat belts, I don't suppose an old Thunderbird would be very practical.

Our 68 GTO, that we've owned about 18 years or so. Just got it running again about 3 weeks ago.

What I drive all the time, both 95's. Buick Century Estate Wagon and Chevy Silverado 4WD.

For me it is a 1997 Lincoln Continental Signature Series, red with chrome rims and gray leather, currently at 32,500 miles,

also my 2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series, french silk metallic with cashmere leather, currently at 24,900 miles.

 

And not pictured is my 1999 Buick Park Avenue, its silver with gray leather, and it has 166,000 miles on it and has seen better days but I still love it

VW = Win

Major likes on the VWs. I WISH I still had my 1964 Beetle or my 2003 NB TDI. Now I'm driving a Prius (at least it's cheap on gas) and Helen has a hail-damaged Kia Optima. Looks like a golf ball but perfectly good car underneath.

2012 Ford Fusion. Drove VWs exclusively since 1980, they disappointed me more and more over the years. Thought it was time for a change. I drove Fords from 1974-1980, just made the change because of the gas crises in the 1970s. Love my Fusion.

My '59 Lincoln Continental Mark 4

Great fun to drive this land barge, but the price of gas and 12-14 miles per gallon; she may not be on the road much this summer? This was taken last summer at the local car show. Happy motoring. Gary

12-14???? That is EXCELLENT! My expedition gets 9! Our Thunderbird gets about 10!

I drive my 2006 Fusion and love it and my wife drive 2010 Ford Focus,  I traded my 1992 Lincoln in for the Fusion and we traded her 2005 Saturn in for her Focus.  Keep her in good car as she commutes one way 26 ,iesmy commute is 1 1/2 miles.  Looking at the 2013 Fusion Hybird that is 46/47 MPG.

Just traded my Honda Fit for a Fiat 500 a few months ago... both get great gas mileage, but what the Honda had in amazing space the Fiat makes up for with amazing fun! But when a new appliance beckons, my 2002 Caravan is a great trooper and has taken many long hauls. And for car show season, it will soon be time to bring out the 1961 DeSoto...

Woo! That 59 Lincoln is a DREAM! If I had one, I'd drive it everywhere. Gas prices be damned. I'd just bite that bullet.
