Recycling a Lehel fridge

I need to do a bit of welding on my LDV van and was hunting round for some sheet metal to make up patches. I remembered there is an old refrigerator in the barn so I am going to cut up the door off that. I have saved the plastic badge off the door that says: LEHEL LIZENZ BOSCH HAUSGERATE
I had never heard of the Lehel make so I did a Google search which came up with a photo of an identical fridge with an interesting story attached:

with truly bizarre interior design - it looks like a cross between a '70s airport lounge and a Korean restaurant with all the heavily laquered wood finishes, with a '50s retro radio thrown in for fun. I'm surprised the refrigerator was allowed to be a simple white box!

At first glance, I thougth it read "Lethal" fridge. Glad it's not.

Czech's have some far out designs - the Prague Subway is incredible and there is this one hotel from the late 60's where the architect designed everything down to the doorknobs - it's shaped like a tangine and is truly over the top.
