I am Drooling over that kitchen!!!!!

OMG....Rich, aren't you the lucky one!!!! You kind of have me going nutty at the moment though...Is the whole thing put back together? It looks like it in the pictures. If it is....Sweetie....a pic of the wall from a few steps back? PLEASE!? =)

Hugs, DJ

Pete, if that was a KUDJ22 or KUDJ23 I'd be ecstatic!!, but my trust GE PotScrubberr GSD1200 is what's facing me from the bottom cabinet. !!! Hmm, Toggle did say if he had the extra Dracmas laying around, he'd have shipped the one GadgetGary hs to me, bless his loveable little heart!!

Chuck & Rich....

Thank you Soooo much for the pictures!! Everything looks incredible! I just cant wait to see it all finished!! You guys didnt leave ANYTHING cool out of this remodel!!!

Bob/appnut-I've got a GSD2200 PotScrubber. They may not be much, but they get the job done. It's very quiet, too....so I'll enjoy it just fine until I get something fun and retro to replace it with =)

Oh why can we not buy such nice things like that anymore?

I guess it has to do with things lasting. Much like the Studebaker. If you build it to last then nobody will buy have another new one.

"its illegal to have soo many cool gadgets!"...Oh I hope not, David. So many of us would be in jail :-)

"I absolutely LOVE your kitchen and all the great small and large appliances"... Thanks, Retromom. I never thought that I would like the 60's look. We both wanted to do it in 1940's but I'm having a hellava good time with it!! I fel like a cross between Laura Petrie and Jane Jetson when I pop up the stove hood, turn on the Nutone and start cooking :-)

"I`ve been drooling over that food all day, and the wall mounted power centre"...Send me your address and I'll mail you some :-) Can you believe that someone would just throw away that power center? That's how I got it...At the dump!!!

"And just where is the Dishwasher????"... In the kitchen, Bob. LOL!! We are not using the late 50's KA top loader. It has to be serviced so right now we are using a GE Quiet Power 1 Pot Scrubber that we have had for a while. Works very well BUT I don't know what is quiet about it!

"I'm snatching that Culinaire whenever I come to visit!!" You come and visit and we'll talk, Pete!! :-) The Royal Culinaire came with many attachments. You can take a look at some at http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/WACEM/photos/browse/e37b. I only have the mixer and large bowl.

"Thank you Soooo much for the pictures!!"... You are very welcome!! We will post a few more pics when it is complete :-)

Thanks all for the kind words!!

Rich

Mmmm, I'm hungry again....

Remember, diluted clear ammonia is now your cleanup-time friend, lol!!

Seriously, very nice showing.

Hey Jon,

It's Nickle plated steel! A magnet sticks to it.

Look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!! :-) I will keep the Culinaire out for show and tel...play!

Rich

Nice!!

I miss the smells and meals mom made on her 1967 (or was 1969-1970ish) Kenmore stove similar to that.. We too had an old Nutone center and i remember mom used to make fruit smoothies and this gawd awdful watermelon salad stuff with it (yuckk).. Those pictures alone remind me of my early years and the stuff we had (even though it was old when i was young :).. Just like the 1964 GE Bottom Freezer Fridge my great grandma had for 35 years until she had to move up from sout florida.. The thing had an "auto" filling ice tray. It also had a slide out drawer too.. I have the book somplece, will try to find and post a pic.. She also had a Roto Rack Kenmore dishwasher, 1972 Lady Kenmore Dryer (which my evil step mother took when she left) and a beautiful 1965ish Alphabet Kenmore washer (she took this too, boy was i mad, i would have stuck them someplace, they where for me, not her)and she had a Tall Oven Kenmore range.. She also had one of those modern maid cook and clean set ups.. I used to love christmas and thanksgiving at her house, i used to always get in trouble for playing with the washer and dishwasher as a kid..

WOW. Someones cooking in Sourhboro!!

As if the stove wasn't enough! Now you have a Power Center and a Nutone Kitchen Center... and everything looks like NEW! Where do you shop?

Luv the miniature furniture from 60's. I have to admit, I had my suspicions about you 2 with the whole typewriter collection and all.?.
But, I see now that I have no worries. Anyone with a pink blender and a miniature kitchen set complete with dishes, a turkey, utensils, and a naked doll with a painted on vagina is perfectly normal in my book.

As for the Food Center if you want the Food processor, meat grinder/can opener, or the juicing attachments, I 'gotts da' connections. Oh and of course from the mid 80's we had form fitting plastic trays that could be installed as sliding drawers in a base cabinet to hold the attachments. But I don't know if they would fit with your period kitchen. decisions, decisions.

Wow, I can't wait to see what improvements are next.

Looks great!!

Luv the miniature furniture from 60's

Thanks, Erik!! I just thought that it was too cute to pass up!! It's made by the same company that made the Suzy Homemaker line.

"Where do you shop?"...Brimfield, eBay and THE TOWN DUMP!! I'm proud to say that ALL of the appliances, combined, cost LESS than $300.

"As for the Food Center if you want the Food processor, meat grinder/can opener, or the juicing attachments, I 'gotts da' connections."....I'm all ears!!!
