Replace or reuse? LG FL spider

LG WM2016CW about 8 years old, used by family of 4.
One year ago, bearings and seal replaced.
Today, both bearings worn badly.

Seems unlikely both bearings were flawed.

Thinking the pitting on the spider shaft caused the seal to fail. Rather not buy unneeded parts but leaning toward replacing the spider. Rest of spider is in very good condition for the amount of time and use.

Thoughts?

pitting will let some water past seal-also if bearing fits shaft right above seal area,that is badly worn.

You need a new shaft-spider

do you have speedi sleeves in the US? You can fit a fine stainless steel sleeve over the worn shaft, then fit a new seal. You would have to compare the cost, as the spider for my LG washer here in Australia was only about $45, I don't know if speedi sleeves are any cheaper than that.

Yikes.

At this point, unless there is a really compelling reason, I'd say this piece of junk is late for a date with the crusher.

The pitting on that spider makes clear it will kill any seal.

LG has done some very good work in the past and currently, but this is not one of them.

What a wonderful bunch of folks. Before I buy a new washer, I'll surely research using this site. Every past purchase has been based on faulty reasoning as I never could figure out which ones are internally built with some degree of quality. AS mentioned here, the cost goes into making the pig look pretty while the guts are full of junk.

This LG is a POS for certain.

At 7 years, the bearings went, the gasket went, the shock absorbers went.
At 8 years, probably due to pitted spider shaft, bearings and gasket failed again, and the hot water inlet is rusted.

Due to great advice here, replacing the bearings with premium 6306-2NSE9 and 6305-2NSE9 bought off bearing site, not LG OEM part, OEM gasket and water inlet valve.

Would love to crush it underneath the truck but currently no extra $ for buying a new quality washer. As soon as I save up some, I'll pass this baby along to a future LG hater.

Update to earlier post

I can't edit the earlier post but the bearing numbers are incorrect. Found the hard way when I tried to install them.

Correct numbers are:

6306-2NSE9 NACHI inner tub bearing 4280fr4048k 30x62x16
6305-2NSE9 NACHI outer tub bearing 4280fr4048c 25x52x15

I have no idea how much I paid back then. sorry.
