Hey All,

I sent a message to Proctor and Gamble out the Cascade Fryer Boil Out, for those who are using this in their uh-hum "fryer."

At this time, there are no plans to discontinue this product in it's current formulation.

This is good news!

Didn't someone post an article that stated Phosphates were not the cause

of algae in waterways?  As in those who said it was figured out it wasn't the

cause.

Enjoy your phosphates guys, a few washer geeks like us won`t wreck the planet.

But seriously.... phosphates not the cause of algae in waterways ?
All it takes is to search the net for whatever we want to believe. We could find just as easily plenty of articles denying Charles Darwin, global warming or whatever.

This is true

I highly doubt the vast majority of folks even know what phosphates are, much less are they going to search for STPP or Fryer boil out.....so I think the planet is safe in terms of that - regardless of whether or not phosphates are the cause of algae.

Phosphates do contribute to algae blooms, but I honestly feel that more comes from run off from over fertilized farmer's fields and lush green lawns than what we get from our laundry and dishes.  But it is all cumulative.
