Hi all,
To Golittlesport: The Surgilator is original,the chrome Surgilator cap is from a late 1950's model I found in a junk shop.I do have the original black bakelite cap however.I couldn't resist "tricking" this washer out!

To Peteski50:I added the waterfall lint filter to this machine during the rebuild.The tub was rusted though on this machine,and I had to part out another classic to save this 1956. I added the filter system also. The 1956 Whirlpool parts manual does show this filter system available as an option.The holes in the 1956 machine cabinet were all pre drilled. How could I resist?

Hi Ken, Thanks for "dateing" the Silvertone radio. So it is a 1936 model? It too belonged to my grandparents,only on moms side.Dads mom owned the vacuum.
The Magnovox stereo was also purchased new by my mothers folks. I have the recept. It cost a whopping $495.00 when they purchased it on 10/18/65. They were allowed a $60.00 discount for a trade in,according to the paperwork. I don't know what the trade in was,and no one is around anymore that could tell me.At any rate it is a 1965,or perhaps an early 1966 model. Did you know that Magnavox was right here in Fort Wayne? I had several relatives that worked there in the 1950's and 1960's.

I know you of all people realize what it takes to put together a whole house full of vintage items.How many hours it takes to make it all perfect.And how many years it takes to get it all to your liking.You also know the enjoyment it all brings.I started collecting vintage stuff with the Mills Empress jukebox.I was ten at the time. Over the years I have met the kewlest people through this hobby! I have met many more kewl people since I joined this web site!

My great uncle had a 62 Oldsmobile in powder blue. It was called "Dynamic 88". I remember wanting it when I was a teenager! I remember the speedometer was like a lightbar that I think changed from green to red the faster you went. It was a wonderful car.
