Every once in a while the universe does a "housecleaning". Don't know why these latest who passed away were chosen, but it looks like there are some major earth changes coming!

He was annoying as hell, but apparently effective!
 
Yes Ralph, it took me almost 6pages of images of him before I found one WITHOUT an undershirt. and what was displayed looked like it had been manscaped (crap & YUCK) vs. what I'd seen poking out from under said undershirt over the years!!!! Yes I'd hit the mute button too, just so I could watch that hot man. all man!!!!
 
My gawd Bob and Ralph need to get a room..lol. I didnt find anything sexy about that man...my image of him in the bedroom would be him shouting out commands on how things should be done. That would kill it for me. I wonder if the medtechs tried the Mighty Mend it to bring him back and they had to use OxyClean to clean up the mess. Or maybe that gawd awful hook thingy....
 
According to news reports, stuff from the overhead compartments hit him on the head during the landing. How would a seat belt keep you from getting hit on the head?

I was annoyed by posters poo-pooing him on this RIP thread, then I remembered that he annoyed the hell out of me too! But he grew on me. I thought he was a doll!

he was very nice to look at.

Last time I was in the hospital for a LONG time (2005), I enjoyed watching him with the sound off.

Oh, and Massman, about him shouting in the bedroom, there are ways to get around that. All I'm sayin'.

I thought he was SIZZLING HOT when he was demonstrating the shaver, on himself, and turned his beard into a MEGA DADDY with that GOATEE!...GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWL!!!

How would a seat belt keep you from getting hit on the head?

When you wear your seatbelt, your head only goes so far forward. This wasn't a real forward motion landing, but hard on the vertical end of things so I doubt people were pulled forward while landing. In this case the seatbelt keeps you in your seat and when your head is near the back of the seat items falling from the overhead lockers will likely hit the back of the seat rather than directly on your head. Additionally, it's an FAA requirement that all passengers have their seatbelts fastened snugly for taxi, take-off and landing.
Normally the last things F/A's do just before taking their jump seats for landing is walk down the aisle making sure everyone is strapped in. I wonder how Billy got missed during this inspection.
 
Every flight I've been on in the past 10 years, the FA's just go through the motions. I lay the two belts across each other without fastening them half the time (when I'd rather take my chances, and get my stuff together during landing), and they've never noticed the difference. Not once.

Re: getting a room, count me among the many men out there who find testosterone-laden men attractive, pretty boy Malibu Barbie types poor excuses, and who are fiercely proud to celebrate their own masculinity with another man who has similar interests. That would include Mr. Mays. He'd have been even hotter without the Grecian Formula.

Every flight I've been on in the past 10 years, the FA's just go through the motions. I lay the two belts across each other without fastening them half the time (when I'd rather take my chances, and get my stuff together during landing), and they've never noticed the difference. Not once.

You are very lucky not to have your headprint the the ceiling of an aircraft that you were flying in. Turbulence is more prevalent at lower altitudes and I have seen people become weightless during it. Lots of F/A's get injured when turbulence occurs on final approach. They are doing their final checks and then the turbulence hits, sending them to the ceiling and back to the floor very hard. Usually it's broken ankles and broken femurs from these types of incidents?

Are you taking delight in breaking FAA regulations?

From the Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 121

MSec. 121.317 - Passenger information requirements, smoking prohibitions, and additional seat belt requirements.

(b) Except as provided in paragraph (l) of this section, the "Fasten Seat Belt" sign shall be turned on during any movement on the surface, for each takeoff, for each landing, and at any other time considered necessary by the pilot in command.

(f) Each passenger required by §121.311(b) to occupy a seat or berth shall fasten his or her safety belt about him or her and keep it fastened while the "Fasten Seat Belt" sign is lighted.
 
He was so young and strong! You just never know. He was making big bucks. I hope he had good life insurance for his family.
On and on the topic of that "SHAM WOW" guy! Have you seen his new commercial for the "SLAP CHOP"? It is so strange! I swear he is high as a kite!
I am also sure that Sham Wow guy is not upset about Billy's demise.

Sorry to hear of his death, but, quite frankly I turned the channel everytime he came on! I don't like being screamed at either!!
 
Allen, it might be a function of where I've lived most of my life. I mean, I've flown on something like 300 flights in my state and can count the instances of severe air turbulance on one hand. And during those flights/landings I certainly did latch my seat belt.

It's a calculated risk, that's all. I trust commercial pilots to not land so hard that they blow their tires out.

Petek im with you on this one, there were reports of contents from an overhead bin falling on him, if that autopsy reveals intracranial hemmorhage.... they are going to court.
 
In fact in an interview at the Tampa airport Billy himself said that things from the overheads came down hitting him on the head. He said he had a hard head.
The news is now reporting that when he went to bed he wasn't feeling well. Nausea and dizziness is one of the signs of a head injury.
Autopsy today, we'll know by Weds.
