Heaven just gained a wonderful addition to its choir

I loved hearing Peter Paul and Mary. As sad as this news is at least she's found peace. Thanks for bringing this to the clubs attention Bob. PAT COFFEY

I just read about her passing. And Henry Gibson (who read those wacky little poems on Laugh In), too.

I'm not a folk music aficionado, but my older sister had several of their albums (circa '62-'65) and I still remember songs from them. Again, no Auto-Tune or ProTools involved---nor were they needed.

So sad. I just read it wasn't the cancer that killed Mary, it was a "side-effect" from her chemo. Some side-effect.

Anyway here's my all-time favorite PP&M song.. It has a punchline.

I remember playing the PP & M 10 years together album over and over as a kid. I really like Puff The Magic Dragon. Such sad loss.

Henry Gibson was a hoot in Laugh-In

They did a fund raiser concert for PBS back I think it was 2004. We raised about 10 grand from that show's premiums that pledge drive. I don't think they licensed it for us to use another time.
They all are and were nice people. She never strayed from her convictions and activitism.

beautiful videos to watch!

takes me back to the 60's when i was a kid! she seemed like a very classy and unique lady, and beautiful! another part of our 20th century history gone with her passing. i was saddened to hear she passed away.

she reminds me a bit of marianne faithful, one of my favorites. but unique in her own right! they both were a big part of 60's music culture.

She was wonderful!

What a voice, what courage, what a look.

My nieces (now firmly in their 20s) adored her. One of the best parts of their childhood (for me, anyway) was watching their Christmas special on PBS with them.
