i had a beautiful spin tube in sunny yellow that i had gotten in downtown chicago and it ran perfectly. i sold it to turquoise dude a few years ago.

i kinda regretted getting rid of it since it was such a unique machine so i've been on the lookout for another ever since.

went to n carolina a few weeks ago and brought this one back. not in the best shape but it's a spin tube and i am going to break it dow this winter and see if it leaks. hope not since parts are non existent.

here's a few picks for what it's worth.

and more

i was expecting this built in model not to have a cabinet around it. oh well.

motor looks good, turns freely, main water supply hose isn't rotted, spin tube assembly seems fine, racks are good, just a lot of red rusty lookin stuff inside tub.

guess i'll find out soon if it's gotta live again! that's the fun of this hobby.

plus i got to see how beautiful n. carolina is! went to the n. carolina zoo while i was there and loved it! largest zoo in the country i found out! camped at a fun place close to zoo called zoolander campground complete with a river flowing right behind my tent! all in all a fun little inexpensive 2 day trip!

That's a Deluxe Dishmobile that apparently was converted to a built in/free standing unit. The panels all come off easily for access to everything. I'd clean the sump with some comet cleanser to see how much of that brown stain is actually rust. The pump housing was notorious for leaking (cork seal), so I used closed foam weatherstripping to make a new one.

First generation of spin-tube with timer dial moved to top of control panel. 1960/1961. My neighbors had the built-in version of this including the open open detergent cup.
