hose clamp with a new worm clamp from the auto parts store or home depot. think i'll replace the smaller top clamp that feeds the upper spray as well. can't hurt!
it's a complete success!!! it was worth driving to chicago for this beautiful old classic dishwasher!
and my work today has paid off as well! it runs great, it doesn't leak anywhere important, and it sounds like a lot of water is being thrown around inside. later on i'm actually gonna run a load of dishes in it after i replace those 2 clamps!
will post a couple pics tonite when i do.
and this one i'm gonna get plexiglass for the front sometime here in the near future. really want to see the water action inside. will film it when i do.
after a long winter of not doing anything on my appliances this is just what i needed to get back in the groove!
next on the list, the speed queen solid tub washer i picked up in indianapolis last october.
Instead of detergent, run it with a package of Lemonade Kool-Aid - the orignial kind (without any sugar). All those dark hard water stains should go away. Even if you have to do it twice. Or stop it before the water drains and reset the dial to repeat the wash.
It's a cheap cleanup that's non-toxic!
i do have some lime away i usually use on dishwashers, i had completely forgotten about cleaning the tub stains, was so excited it didn't leak! but will try the kool aid tonite!
