Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

AWESOME! That was something very special. Congratulations Darren on the restoration of one of the most beautiful LKs. Thanks for showing the videos, I loved them.

Gordon: The BOX O' KNOBS thread is what you are looking for, and that dates back a few years. I hate to disappoint, but the lightbulb is only flickering on the screename of the guy who posted it. I know it is someone who was on the site, and left at least for awhile, if not permanently. A few possibilities come to mind, but yes it was someone from the midwest. To narrow down your search I do know the thread is located in the 2007 archives.

Qoute- From The movie ..Elizabethtown

Thank you guys so much ...You guys have given me a Hurricane of love !!!
I'm so glad the machine came out the way it did, it's not my machine really it is the groups because if anything happens to me it goes right back to someone here who can keep it going.

Main thing is I wanted the machine archived for the site so now there are three that I know of that can be seen ...Gordons and Johns machines.

The only thing now is just the minor touch ups that was mention above hopefully they will come along.
There is a manual that needs to be scanned and I will add more videos of the machine in the other speeds and a permenent press cycle.
The Delicate cycle is interesting as well.

Big hugs back to all of you.
Peace Darren[this post was last edited: 2/18/2011-10:18]

Awesome!

Darren,

What a beautiful machine and in such a beautiful color. My 66 LK sounds very similar to yours. The "percolator" sound is coming from the self cleaning lint filter. I'm assuming yours is the plastic bottle filled with glass marbles and that is the sound of them moving around. I've never quite figured out why the sound is louder at different times but have noticed if a dispenser solenoid opens, it must let air into the system which makes things move around more. Just my guess without looking to see what's going on underneath.

Thank you for the scans. Everytime someone scans a piece of appliance literature, an angel gets its wings and a right-wing tea-bagging a@@whole drops dead on the street!

Yet another gorgeous Kenmore that proves me wrong about the brand and makes me want to find one. Sigh. Someday.

Sorry about the Delay.

Louis...Thank you...Did you see on page 7 in the control panel is a slight variation on it ...SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE PRAYING..
O lady Kenmore please dont let this be a long wash day lol..or anything you want to add to that lol.
And on page 10 with the srubber cap looks like a pregnent swirl from probely other Illustrations from past manuals.

Patrick...Thank you ..I knew it was between the dispensers opening up
or the suds saver system, but now since you telling me it's the self cleaning system thats interesting.
Again if anyone no about this system would be greatly appreciated.

Ken...I'm glad that you are likeing Kenmores what a nice compliment.

Todd... Thank you don't be jealous not us ..Maybe John Lefever he has the matching pair lol.
No I am happy with this machine even if the dryer does not come I'm grateful to have it.

Video 6.  The Delicate cycle with Intermitted Action.

You Can mediatate to this one or have extreme patience.

Which we have your washer people.

Video 7.  Here are two splash washes I use to call them when little , I use to hear this sound and wake up out of my sleep.

And my mom would no that , I would get mad if I missed it at the last rinse and she would say I told you to get up lol.

Low level rinse with Surgulator Agi.

Don't see much low level washes in videos.

Well this is the end for now just small things that needs to be added.

Dial.

Lights .

Clear Detergent cup.

A small paint Job on the front and sides.

And Thanks again Robert & Fred for the Scrbber cap that is mint.
