Hi, I had an apartment for a week when was in Dubai. There I had a Samsung washing machine. This is the first time I have used a Samsung washer. The apartment had a Samsung fridge/freezer and TV all very nice and modern. The only Samsung Ive ever used before is my mobile phone.
Anyway, I switched the machine on to be welcomed by nice jingles that the machine makes - It appears theres no option to turn this off which can be slightly irritating after the machine finishes it does jingle for ages but then again its a nice touch to the machine.
I loaded the machine up and the drum is about the size of my AEG Lavamat 72640, the front of the maqchine says 6.5kg. I put the machine on and the drum started turning, I put my ear right up next to it and still couldn't hear the motor just the sound of the clothes tumbling, I was like, wow this is very quiet - it washed and spinned my clothes with hardly any sound at all. The only sound I could here was of the drum which was slightly rocky when you push up on it, I guess a little loose - nothing major.
The only thing I didnt like about it was it appeared to be very fussy when it came to spinning, Im used to machine that just get on with it but the Samsung does a lot of tumbling before spinning and when there is too much suds in the machine this does this constantly for at least 10 mins before it spins properly and the machine automatically adds a rinse cycle if there are too many suds in it on the main wash
I had a look under the machine and the motor looks different from normal but this machine is not DirectDrive as it sounds so quiet.
The machine has an interesterting feature of Airwash which reminds me of the washer drier feature of this machine - basically this is what it appears to be, usuing hot air and condensing of the water within the machine.
Overall I like this machine a lot, I like it even more than my AEG because of its quietness.
Anyone got ant good or bad experiences of Samsung washers?
