Purchased samsung wf56h9100ag/a2 washer on Marketplace that in the ad said, will not spin, replaced the drain pump, the washer rotor position sensor, and the washer converter control board. So I thought "I can fix this" and Murphy then said he would help too. Got it home and sure enough no spin. Rear of tub had rust stains and inside cabinet has rust. Took rotor off and found that tub bearing and seal leaked, caused motor windings to burn out. Found drum to have a lot of play in tub. Looked online to see how to take it apart to replace bearings and seal and it looked easy as they showed. Wrong! Separated tub and tapped on spider shaft, used dead blow hammer, large ball pein with wood block and no go. Soaked shaft and bearing for days, heated and let wax flow in, hammer and repeat, no go. Old bearings not coming out, broke cage and pulled 1st one with bearing puller that you slide between balls. 2nd one, inside bearing, had to bust cage out, then push all balls to one side and knock them out leaving the outer race in the tub and pulling the drum out. Took a lot to drive outer race from tub. Inner race was loose on shaft but didn't come off easy ether. Shaft worn from bearing running on shaft. Could not find another spider to replace. Cut up different cans until I found one that seemed to take out the play when a new bearing was on the shaft. Used contact cement to hold shim to shaft for when placed in tub. Play seemed to be taken out. Drilled larger drain hole, weep, in tub and used dremel to cut grove to help water that get in to drain out. Assembled tub and installed. Before mounting the stator I took a milk jug and cut out a piece to shield it from any water leaking from tub. Used a heat gun to mold it somewhat and made it work.
Long story short, cheaper to buy a new washer. Works so far with no leaks from the tub. Have a small leak in from from a hose but not much and it's in the garage. Still play in the drum but less than before. Only got this one to wash my wife's horse blankets in the driveway and not in the house.
