Sears Ultra Plus orange box 180 loads

Hey Freddy

Someone here may correct me.  I've never used the green box...always the orange box.  However, I Googled  Sears Ultra Plus orange box vs. green box and was sent to a Sears site.  This site rated detergents as the orange box being the "premium" variety.  Again, I've never used the green box and I don't know how it smells.   The orange box has a very light and clean "citrusy" scent.  I hope that helps.  Jim

Thank you Jim! The one in the green box smelled like "plastic" you know the smell of old plastic bags when you leave a bunch of them closed  all inside one? Or the smell of the new black  trash bags?  Well it was  almost the same at my nose....... a very light note of plastic......this is the only "scent" I could smell from it....
Thanks again Jim, will gotta try even the Orange type just to understand how it is, I'm very curious to discover the differences.

I'm sure there should be as looks I'm the only one  one here that "dislike" it  for "scent" and cleaning....

Isn't the green box the advanced formula? I was thinking of trying that when I run out of the orange. Wouldn't it be a bit better than the orange?

Hey Vern.  I honestly don't know.  I'm just going by the site I was sent to from Google.  It does make you wonder, though, if the orange is the premium detergent then why is it the same price as the green box?  I need to investigate more.  Hopefully I'll run into an informed salesperson at Sears when I go by to pick up my ultra plus this weekend!  I like your avator (sp?)  Such a sad loss.  Take care, Jim

If the thread will still be available and not expired will gladly say my opinion once it is here, otherwise will open one on purpose,  I just have to buy it from Sears, it is just a nice thing that now they offer Intl. shipping. does not look expensive either.

Informed salesperson?

At Sears? Maybe 20 years ago, but today I had to walk a whole chunk of the store to find a staffed cash register!

Ultra Plus is the only reason I even go to Sears any more.
