Not only the frost free refrigerator, 40 inch range and dishwasher but turquoise washer and dryer, too. With the episodes in color, the turquoise really looks nice.

Yesterday, there was an episode where there was heat wave and Hazel moved her kitchen Philco AC unit into the living room for the dinner that the Baxters were throwing for the head of the law firm that was proposing making him a partner. He came into the kitchen all hot and bothered and stepped into the cool living room. After the enchanted guests left, Mr. B carried the ac unit back to the kitchen.

"Maudie was married three times; all three of her husbands predeceased her." Wikipedia

Someone to whom this expression could be applied, "Calm as a widow at her fourth wedding."

Someone similar was Neva Patterson, "Lean-framed, arch and edgy, somewhat hard-looking, dark-haired Neva Patterson, known by face perhaps as opposed to name, was a familiar presence in heavily-styled drama of the 1950s and 1960s radio, stage, film and TV. Christened Neva Louise Patterson in 1920."IMDB

Are any of you familiar with a TV show that ran from 1951 to 1952 titled the Betty Crocker Star Matinee? I ran across it on a descent down an internet rabbit hole aligned with Neva Paatterson.

Speaking of Hazel and Color.....

....back in the 1960s, when TV shows widely adopted broadcasts in color, Hazel was one of the first to have the yellow color prominently used. The yellow color was difficult to reproduce in 60s color TVs.

I remember my father pointing this out; I can't verify whether or not this is actually true.

That Tint Button.

Well, I can't verify anything about the color yellow. But I can tell you having a father who was color blind was brutal. Back in the day before the color and timer was automatic, we would spend time with the color and tint buttons to get those flesh tones just right. We'd see him heading towards that Tint button and we would all scream to leave it alone. LOL.
