Secret Santa--what'd you get?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I got a Bona!

This was my gift - a bit overwhelming to say the least!

A wonderful supply of cleaning products from Andy W. in Springfield, MO. Bona wood floor cleaning products, Sidol cleanser (that I love!) and some Somat rinse aid for the dishwasher(s) and vacuum air freshening crystals, and...and...and...

Thanks Andy - they will all be put to good use around here!

Yay!

I'm glad you got the package Greg! I forgot to include the sheet that explained microfiber. The blue and yellow cloths are all purpose, the green is especially soft for dusting electronics, and the pink has extra texture for bathrooms and more difficult jobs. This stuff is made by Hagco, it's the best microfiber I've found and it sells like CRAZY in the store.

The Bona spray that's in the box is for laminate, tile and other non-hardwoods, and the big bottle is a solution for just hardwoods. It's great stuff.

I couldn't live without Kleenco PK-200. It's hands down the best all-purpose cleaner I've ever tried. When I get nasty vacs in for repair, I spray the washable parts down with this stuff and just wait about ten minutes and the dirt just hoses right off. No scrubbing. It doesn't leave streaks or a film either.

Merry Christmas :-)

I got a wonderful Secret Santa gift: A Frigidaire Probe, still in the original package! I couldn't be more pleased. In the words of the late Divine, "This calls for a nice big roast!" :-)

Thanks, Santa Fred!

Very cool, Dan - is the oven complete now?

Andy - I have bought the 25 pack of microfiber towels from Sam's Club (well, five of them - for work) and have been washing them with my regular rag loads which never get fabric softener. The first package I washed didn't get very clean as they came coated with some sort of petroleum goo - it took a couple of washings to get rid of it. Made in China, so who knows what was on them! These you sent don't seem to have anything on them and I'm interested to try the different textures as I've only ever had the one all-purpose type before now.

Mark, it's good to see another posting from you today (Firestone vac) - I'd been dreading finding an article in the paper... "Local Man Injured by Toy"

Re: My Secret Santa Gifts:

I got my Secret Santa Gifts on this past Tuesday, right after Christmas.

I got 2 great Books, 1-Maytag History and 1-about Automatic Washers and how to remove the drudgery out of "Beating on the Rocks" and/or "Scrubbing" on the Wash Board the Laundry.

I have a Cartoon that I remember about 2-Women sitting in the River, beating their Laundry. One of the Women says to the other, while holding some of her Laundry up, "I wish I knew what I could do about that darn Static Cling"

I got a Package of Chinese Tide and a neat Metal Model of the 1950's Maytag "AMP" Model Washer, with the Flat Top, the Controls on the Top-Front of the Cabinet and the Red Agitator.

I wrote to my Secret Santa and I told them that I've got some Friends that have a Digital Camera to help me to take some Pix's so I can Post my great Gifts that I received. Thank you again so very much, Secret Santa for the great Gifts.

Peace, Blessings, Happy New Year to everyone on AW.ORG and Friendship Hugs, Steve

Your diet and mine

David sent me tons 'o nuts from Hawaii--macadamians--at 21 grams of fat per serving and they are the moistest tenderest little nuggets I've ever had.

He also sent me a manual for the exact model Easy you have which we talked about.

Never having read one word from an Easy Manual in a life time of loving the Machine, I was speechless--truly one of the best gifts ever.

Re; Message to Dynaflo, Ron:

Hey! Ron, I'm "Letting the Cat Out of the Bag" to tell you that I've just sent an E-Mail to you, asking if you ever received the Secret Santa Parcel that I sent to you?

Please let me know, so I can put a Tracer on it, if need be.

Peace, Blessings and Regards, Steve

Oh and I'm late again as usual!

It's not that my package arrived late or anything; in fact it arrive on SUNDAY before Christmas. My Santa was cagey about who he/she was, but I sent an eamail to the person who I THOUGHT it was right away. Since I have not received an email back either confirming or denying, I am led to believe I am having some problems with my email and I am going to have to spend the better part of the next hour with some techno-geek trying to straighten it all out. I have actually sent several emails recently for which I recieved no reply and it can't be that everybody is busy and/or rude.

So first my apologies to the person who sent the fun gift this year! I should have been more prompt about posting, but I am in the middle of an overseas move (that's my excuse and I'm sticken' to it!).

Also because we are moving, it took a few extra moments to find a spot in the house that was presentable enough to photograph. My shack is a dump right now.

So I got this really cool ice crusher which I used right away and it works like a charm. It is my favorite of all the decorator colors too! Avocado is beautiful!

Other goodies!

Look at all the fun appliance manuals and cookbooks my Santa got for me! I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes contained within!

Santa also sent some chocolates just to see if the would arrive melted. They did not melt this year and they were yummy!

Thoughtful Santa also included a beautiful small glass pipe for smoking er, uhm ah the finest native tobacco (yeah, that's it) at about four:20. Well, Dennis was going to prepare the pipe for the ceremony and he dropped it on the floor. DAMMIT! I couldn't be mad at him though as he felt so bad about it himself...and at least it wasn't the glass panel to a 1956 Frigidaire range. Oh well. I hope Santa knows how happy I was to receive the pipe and we probably need to quit smoking anyway (and don't we say that every year?)

Hi ya!

I'm late too!

My Santa got me the cutest Christmas ornament. It's a vintage fridge, it even has a light in it when you open it... and food too! Thank you Santa Mike!

As far as my victim... their email had gotten thrown into my spam folder for some reason but, I found it finally.

XO, The dingbat

Yay for our Secret Santa Overlord

Hi Guys,

My Secret Santa package arrived, after a seemingly lengthy delay in customs.

My Secret Santa was the fabulous Veg-o-matic and he presented me with some fabulous gifts.

The bottle of Swan washing up liquid has a splash left in the bottom, and smells terrific.

The Bisquick packet has an interesting recipie for a Cheeseburger pie, and when I have a special occaision, I'll have a go at making some biscuits. (Note: Biscuits in AU are Cookies and the Biscuits you have in the US seem to be more like our Scones)

The Spic and Span is great, I'd never seen a powdered non rinse cleanser before, most of what we have here has always been liquid in my lifetime. I love the definition of extra strength power, just by rubbing it in dry :)

There are 3 fabulous catalogs from the early 60's, which triggered some interesting memories from Michaels mother, about how she and her mother in law, both used to buy almost everthing from the Grace Brothers and Myer Catalogs in Sydney during the late 60's and early 70's.

And Finally is the most terrific seasoning I've ever experienced. The Old Bay Seasoning seems to take all my favorite flavours and combine them into one nice powder. I've made hamburgers seasoned with it a few times now, and the flavour is unlike anything I've had before.

Thankyou Veg, I love my gifts and thankyou for the effort you put into organising it all.

Hugs

Nathan
