Secret Santa--what'd you get?

I got my Secret Santa gift a week or more ago all the way from Australia from brisnat81.
It must have taken me 20 minutes to unpack everything! I was floored by Nathan's generosity and creativity. I got:

<LI>A beautiful coffee table book about Australia (which must weigh 40 pounds!)
<LI>A jar of Vegemite (which I haven't screwed up the nerve to try yet. I might have to listen to some old Men at Work albums first!)
<LI>A set of Australian coasters
<LI>A set of napkins and placemats
<LI>Knobs from a Wilkinson Service twinnie (which I'm going to use as cabinet knobs in my bathroom)
<LI>Australian money
<LI>A Carnival Glass candy dish
<LI>Some pages from an Australian women's magazine (with some fascinating articles and ads)
<LI>A Miele wrench
<LI>Australian lip balm
<LI>A box of Australian steel wool soap pads (on display in my kitchen)
</UL>
And probably some more things that I forgot about. Like I say, it took a good 20 minutes to unpack!
I'd say that I must have been a very good boy this year, indeed, but we all know that's not the case. So clearly, Nathan has me confused with someone else!

So that's my story. What did you get?

I mailed mine last week, so it should be arriving at its destination any day now.

I've got two jars of Vegemite at my house, courtesy of my friend John Grieve. I've tasted it, and all I can say is try a VERY small amount first.
Vegemite is like nothing you have ever tasted before!
The first time I tasted it I know I made the Lucy Vitametavegemin face!

My Secret Santa was very good to me. My gift arrived about 10 days ago!
I shipped mine out this week and the recipient should be receiving it Thurs or Friday.
I am not going to be opening mine until Dec 24th. How about others?

I received mine too.

My package arrived yesterday and just had to open it. I received a nice bottle of Persil, Color-Gel detergent in a Miele shopping bag. Thank you very much! I have never used any Persil products, so it will be fun to try.

Needless to say, this wonderful gift came from none other than Mark Goodall. I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to display it with my vintage vacs. AND there was candy inside. Right in the middle was a can of toffee clusters which is now 2/3 of the way gone. Thanks Mark!!!

Secret Santa Revealed?

Mine arrived a few days ago from lovely downtown Adelphi MD.

and like my Secret Santa I had to open mine right away. Inside the package I found a pair of Westinghouse Laundry Twins, the salt and pepper shakers of course. They have now taken their spot on top of the vintage radio in my home office so I can look at them everyday and enjoy them. As for my victim er...um... I mean.....well anyway they will get there gift between X-mas and new years because I could not get to the post office in time for them to get it by X-mas....I am sorry. PAT COFFEY

I got three things from my Secret Santa. I opened two of them tonight.

Item 1: A bottle of "AS Ultra" softener (Weichspüler)"Pacific Paradise" flavor. Very nice light scent, almost like a softner scent you'd use on baby blankets. Kinda reminds me of Vernel.

Item 2: A bottle of AS Orignal dish detergent(spülmittel) in original scent. Has a kind of green apple scent to it.

I still have one package to go, we'll open it in the morning and take photos for all the see.

I am very, very happy with these gifts!

My Secret Santa wasn't too hard to figure out. Hmmm German products shipped from Ft. Collins, CO. I wonder who that could be? Keven.......

HI all, My gift came today. What fun, I received a gift certificate for Lowes, (I love to go to Lowes) and got a package of 1 2 3 Freca Blancura con Ultraoxigeno detergent. I am trying to figure out who my Secret Santa is. The card said that I can use the gift certificate at Lowes in Peoria.I wonder if my Secret Santa lives near Peoria like I do,or at least in Illinois? Re: Not received as of yet:

I didn't get anything delivered as of yet and the "My Mission" person, to be their Secret Santa has been let known by Santa Veg, that my Gift would be delayed, getting even bought and sent to them, without knowing who their Secret Santa is. I have a feeling now {not that I mind their knowing} with this Posting, that they might be able to figure out who their Secret Santa is now, oh well!!!

The thought behind what is being given and the fun of making the choices of what to get {especially if they would like a multiple of items and from a certain time/year era} makes it great as well.
