Got it down there without any problems at all. Had to put the juke on it's side, mounted to an appliance cart, as the juke is 36" wide, same width as the stairway. Used rope wrapped around the lower area of the cart and juke to be sure that the bottom of the cart would not slip off the wheels at the bottom of the juke.

Took about 1/2 hour for the juke to get warm enough to play. Adjusted the gain, and the rest of the amp controls to get the best sound out of it as possible until the amp can be rebuilt. It sounds very good, considering that the amp is original.

Spent a few hours cleaing it up this afternoon. Now I can wash a load of "car towels" lol! Anyway, will be spending time cleaning and lubing first. Cabinet repair will be next. Both lower side panels need to be replaced, and can be purchased though Victory Glass. A couple pieces of trim need to be refinished, but the chrome and stainless grill pieces are flawless. I will also redo the colour for the lighting on the grillwork. This model does not have enough colour "bling" to suit me, and I can fix that very easily. The modification will not harm the original lighting design, just adds to it.

Do not have any pixs to share at this point, so stole a pixs of the same model off the net. You can see how lame the grill lighting is here.

Btw: Gave the boyz a case of beer for putting the juke downstairs for me,they are happy.

Well!!!!

Well Rick I bet You are glad it's finally moved and I know You had the weather situation that wasn't helping but at least it's done now.

excellent news

That's GREAT news it arrived playing and unharmed, Rick.
Congratulations.
Is that the box that has the selections on a rotating drum and arranged according to type of music? It seems to me I saw one like that and you'd press the scroll up button or the scroll down button and the drum would rotate to the next section of choices. Am I disremembering this?

Anyway, Fantastic looking box, man.

Holla from Hollywood.

Rick, can't wait to see pictures of your machine installed and ready to rock, the model itself looks beautiful. Congratulations!

Thanks guys! Am very happy to have it in the basement instead of the garage. I have had the juke for a whole week but could not play it until this afternoon when it made it into the warm basement.

Bob, this is the model with the title strips mounting in the revolving drum. Very cool setup.

I have a friend with a great video camera. Will have him make a vid of the juke sometime, showing the details including the drum with the title strips.

Bob

On the keyboard of the juke, there are 5 buttons, one for one of five genre's of music "Today's hits" "Western" "R&B" "whatever" "Whatever" and when you selected a genre, the drum scrolled to the correct selections, then you can drop a coin and make a selection. Those are neat boxes and they go for alot of money on Ebay.

Answer to Greg...

Forgot about the question about the iPod dock...

Only going to add one of those, if you replace your 1958 Frigidaire set with a BOL Kenmore set from the early 1980's in Almond.

Ducking and running East very fast!!

Yeah but the Kenmo has to be a direct drive so the constant thumping can remind Greg of his 58's that somehow came to my house when he threw them out hehehe.
