Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I stand corrected......you are on your way.....lol.....we all have projects were working on, someday to be complete....it will happen, hang in there

you haven't experienced anything until you see a solid tub SQ, banging solenoids, aireated fill, and overflo rinsing......heaven

the GE FF and the 1-18...2 superb machines, each one with their own uniqueness....but the 1-18 is definately a "have to have, can't live another day without!"

I can't wait until you experience it for yourself........it's all in the WOW factor....I don't even know where to start---the circle spray, that rollermatic mechanism, the powerful pump out in low speed, and then shift to high, even a heavy load will rollover in the slower speed agitation...and clear rinsing...I could go on and on....

to get the most out of it....watch Robert's video on proper loading by quadrants....
and Ben's video, on exact water level to match the load, makes all the difference in the world.......
and see Pete for repair and parts info.......

thanks goes to all three, and many others, for their instructions......another machine I watch thru the entire cycle in amazement!......you will too!.....

Gotta get a Norge

I still have yet to add a Frigidaire to my collection, but do currently own late 70s GE, late 70s Maytag, mid-60s Kenmores and Whirlpool, '53 Kenmore, '75 Wards and this lovely 1964 Norge. Norge/Wards rocks!!! Still in search of the elusive lint filter for this beauty...

'70s washers

no '70s washer collection is complete without an"agitub"skinnymini frigidaire!-
in avocado if possible...
i have only seen two of these;one at the dump in '82-an early one with delco motor
and 2nd one in '94 at a 2nd hand shop-i was going to get this 2nd one,but when i
went to get it the next day it was sold-gone...Didn't think anyone would want an
old,weird,small,way-'70s washer/dryer stack LOL

Then, my '70s washer collection is almost complete as I have a harvest gold 1-18 and an Agitub GMini in avocado! (and since I lacked some space, I had to stack the GMini dryer above the washer) so it's almost a Skinny Mini!

It's home

This fun machine is now home, waiting in the garage since it's already dark out and Halloween kids are around, tomorrow down to the basement. Bill fitcoils was very helpful and explained what he'd already repaired and checked, how to finish the job with the tub seal gasket and oil bellows, I got a great lesson from a polite and informative guy.

The bottom inch or so of the cabinet is pretty rough on all four sides, pics will follow first of the rebuild, then of the re-paint. Thank God I'm colorblind, this yellow is horrid! With the cabinet being this rough and needing reinforcement all around the base, it fortunately allows me to think about a completely new color.

All in all, a good vist with a good guy, a good machine, and a safe trip, now I'm pooped.
