Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Thank you Mike!

I just need 2 knobs so if Keith will find and send just one I will  accept this one for you also, I don't mind of  small cracks,  it will be anyway better than now.... LOL
I have the pump insert so you could take it off if you want to save it,  I  just miss the timer insert.
Any chanche someone could take the bother to take off his own one scan it and send the scan to me?
I think it's the only way unless the knob that Keith has is the timer one....
Thank you again Mike for the kind offer!

Hi All!
Austin, the timer and hose connector were in my post box today, I already removed mine and half disassembled the timer you sent, it looks slightly different as mine looks like had kinda ring where the spline is, while yours have a screw which is built in the timer body, not sure what was that for, maybe for a different model .
Does not look simple to replace the spline so I will bring everything at work today as we've an acquinatance of mine who is an electrician so i will ask him to help me.
Thank you! Austin Expect a small gift in return for them! Hope you can enjoy an italian detergent!
I hope someone could send me the knobs....
Looking forward to operate the machine within tomorrow!
Thank you again!

Hi all, unfortunately I got a bad (for me) news about the timer, I had it looked from my father (the electrician couldn't help much) since it is more a clock than an electric thing, him being a jeweler and understanding more about clocks told me the bad news.
The timer is a mechanical not an electromechanical one as I previously tought, nothing but a spring operated clock, we looked it togheter and he said as I could notice myself also after having the mechanism completely removed that the spline cannot be changed at least not so easily, this unless after having disassembled all the clock movement which is an hard task for both me and him ( he is used to other kind of watches) he also said he is not sure if the spline can be changed, at least that would mean disassemble piece by piece the unit.....
So all I can do with the timers is to bring them to a watchmaker (that today was closed) hopefully that he can do something and also and no less important will not ask a fortune ti fix it....
I do not know if will be more convenient and so cheaper to have Austin's timer fixed or mine having the spline replaced and all reassemled then, the sure thing is that it all is a thing I can't do myself, and I'm so hopeful will not have to spend a fortune...
Nothing is loss anyway, is just good to have had that timer from you Austin, at least is a better starting point as without the spline I could not go anywhere. Thank you again!
Disassembling it I also learned how to bypass the contacts and that is just a good thing! I will try to operate the motor later!
I will also post some pics od the timer disassembled so that maybe this thread will be a useful one if anyone in the future will have a similar issue, hopeful it will not happend to anyone!
Thank you again for the help!

Back to starting point......

Hi all again.
Sadly the watchmaker could not help, he said he was not sure to manage what I was asking him as long as the option of fixing the timer that Austin sent, he has been very honest he said that it would have costed him alot of time he didn't have and so he didn't feel to ask me money in case of failing and it was a very probable thing to happend......
So back to starting point :(
But.
Speaking with that electrician today he said there could be the possibility to get an electromechanical timer that would do the work it does, shape might be very different and also not sure if the spline would be the same or would fit but now like now that would be the only thing I could try.....
Hope is still strong.....wish not another letdown waiting for me....
I'm so frustrated....
I will post some pics I took with my phone of the timer.....
Thank you all again!

Fear not Freddy

I am sure something will turn up for you and you will get this machine up and running :)
I will look again when I get chance and see if there are any other timers I can send as soon as I know I will inform you.

Austin

Thank you Mike I'm not upgraded now so I couldn't see messages, I didn't have funds on my prepaid card but I will try to upgrade right now as I should have received a refund from ebay yesterday so maybe I have money in my card now, but not fully sure if the funds are already been charged usually a refund takes few days.
If I cannot manage to upgrade I would kindly ask you to copy and paste the message and send it to my facebook or personal email (the one in my profile is my current email)
Thank you alot!!!
