I thought I would create a new thread as the one created by hooverzanmiele headed up ‘Servis Quartz Style Electra Washer Dryer’ has morphed into one about Servis Quartz PCB Board.
I have an immaculate servis quartz plus washer which needs a new pcb.
Its still being serviced by British Gas at a whooping £108 per year.
My wife rang British Gas today and the engineers report says its needs the power pcb, which they say is obsolete. My options :
Option 1 is for me to get the pcb repaired and British Gas to pay me the repair cost and fit it under guarantee.
Option 2 is to have a refund of £108, which is the cost of the years subscriptions.
Option 3 from British Gas is to have an £118 contribution to another machine at Comet Electrical.
I have searching other suppliers and :
http://www.bpelec.co.uk/
says :
"Morning John,
We are able to supply you with a PCB for £60 plus the exchange of your old
one.
Kind regards,
Nigel"
So looks like I can get one.
Decisions - I am thinking that I should get the pcb repaired.
What do others think?
Thanks.
John.
