Well,
what a mess this auction was. I drove over 4 hours to pick up this washer only to find out that in deed it was new but did not work. The wringer did not run in reverse and the agitator did not work. I have no idea why they didn't work but I was sick. It was spotless. The electric cord was still coiled up under the washer and the drain hose was still attached to the inside of the skirt. The place was a total junk pit. I could not believe all of the crap they had piled around trying to sell. I told the seller I did not want the washer because it did not work as was stated in the auction. She went ballistic immediately. Called me everything but a human. I did not exchange words with her but just walked out of the junk shop. She was right behind me cussing me out all the way. It was all unbelievable. My Sis and her husband were with me and were amazed at her reaction. I came home and filed a case with PayPal immediately over the phone and was given my money back right away. I now have written proof of my refund. Never again will I be so stupid as to buy anything on ebay without looking at it first. The sellers husband even admitted that it did not work and thought maybe since it had sat unused since 1988 the lubrication had dried up. I don't think that was it but have no idea why it would not work right. I was just happy to get out of the junk store with my life and that of my family. So, there is no NOS Amana wringer in my collection. This is all bizarre to me. I do have my NIB speed queen made in 1990 that works fine. Oh well LOL. I didn't want to write anything about this until I had written proof of my refund. PayPal was awesome and fast in their actions.
