My KUDS23

I purchased mine in '95 when I moved into this house. At the time, I thought it was a hobart machine. Didn't know the difference until I found AWO a couple of years ago. But I still love it. Cleans great and I love the heated air drying. When I move, its coming with me.

Rocky, the last one I had was just like yours only it had a white control panel. I think I also purchased it in 1995. Apparently it is quite heavily Whirlpool-influenced, but it has the trademark KA racks, interior, wash arm and rapid advance timer. Wonderful machine.

Rocky - I have the same one as my "extra" machine...it is a fabulous cleaner, and fairly quiet too. I would keep that baby forever, also!

Jeff:

I had that exact same machine in my last house. I bought it new in 1992. It was an excellent machine and I'm sorry I left it behind when I sold the property. I now have 2 KA 23 series dishwashers in my kitchen with the electronic control panels and a slightly different pump/motor assembly. I think the 22 series cleaned better. In short I would save it.

We shall save it.

Have not decided when we will do the swap yet, but we have some time yet.
I'm thinking that by the time I get this KA un-installed, a new model in its place, and then(maybe) get this re-installed in whatever new house, I should pretty well have mastered dishwasher installation!
