Like I say I used to have a small of collection of vintage cars, I have had a beautiful blue-green 1960 Cadillac coupe Deville,1967 Cadillac Coupe deville, 2 1972 Cadillac eldorado convertibles, also a 1971 Cadillac eldorado hardtop, 1971 Cadillac Sedan Deville, 1975 Cadillac Eldorado, 1960 Nash metropolian, 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 Convertible, 1959 Ford Galaxy 500 with Chrome fender skirts it was black and white with red and white interior, 1971 Chrysler Imperial,1965 Mercury parkavenue,1968 olds 98, 1970 VW beetle convertible, and the lists goes on and sadly I never took pictures of them at all, My dream car to own would be a 1951 Cadillac Coupe deville Grey and Black as when I was in my early teens a neighbor down the road had one and I would go to there house daily to admire that Cadillac Boy were those the days

You are so right about the quality of foreign imports. Nothing from Detroit can touch the reliability and superior fit and finish from the Japanese producers. The Japanese in return are puting many of us to work here in OH. My two Hondas are built locally AND with a very high attention to build quality proving that it is possible to get something made in the USA that has quality. Detroit better get a grip soon or it will fade into history with Hudson, Packard, Studebaker, Plymouth, Olds, Desoto, AMC, Graham, Kaiser....etc.

No pictures (almost)

Skip, don't feel alone in this matter. Those horrible quality pictures I posted of my 1967 Coupe de Ville (which I owned for three years) are the only pictures I took of that beautiful car. No dash, motor or inside pictures at all! If I still had that car today I could easily fill my digital camera's larger memory chip in a single day!
 
beauty...

the little green monster. 1996, bought 12/27/2002 (merry christmas). got it at 67k, now has 105k. 5 speed, nice and buttery smooth for a 1.9 liter DOHC 4 cyl engine. 28 miles to the gallon on the new jersey turnpike at 75.

repainted the original boston green metallic this feb, after getting the passenger side smooshed to crap in a hit and run on 12/27/2005. (not so merry christmas). now, tho, she's more beautiful then when i got her. so i'm happy. now if i had someone to keep my passenger seat warm...

1993 cavalier station wagon. rally sport package (top 'o the line) v6, all power, roof rack, split bench, auto. bought october 2003 to replace my godawful 1997 grand prix that spent more time being repaired than on the road. shame that this one has been only marginally better. i guess i should have known that a 10 year old car with 27k miles on it was going to be a pain when i started driving it every day. still, its nice to have the cargo room.
 
Tom, I love that '57 Plymouth Savoy, that gray and white Sportone is absolutely gorgeous.

Rick, I'm also in love with your '55 Coupe de 'Ville, the paint scheme is awesome.

This coming weekend (July 6-9) in Iola, WI, it is one of the largest car shows in the upper Midwest.

Motorama

Skip, I recently saw a documentary film on this very same type of bus! These buses were manufactured for the GM's Motorama road show in the 50's. They toured the country promoting GM's new models, including prototypes.

Someone saw this bus in some junkyard in a total abandoned state, and he couldn't believe his luck when he realized it was one of the original Motorama buses. He restored the bus to an absolute original condition spending thousands upon thousands of dollars. The documentary was fabulous, I am so sorry I didn't record it.
 
1963 Impala

This is my great aunt's 1963 Impala, 4 door, auto transmission, power steering, power brakes, 283 V8, one owner 25,000 original miles! It is unrestored, absolutely original. It is always garaged in a shed in one of her estancias! Had forgotten I had this picture, LOL. By the way, my great aunt is 90 years old!
 
OMG

Brings back memories of my sister's 1964 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport(SS) with leather bucket seats. I loved that car.
Also remember her girlfriend's Monza Spyder...any pics of those cars???

Estancia I

This is a front shot of "La Libertad", the estancia where the Impala is always garaged. That's my wife by the front stairs. This estancia dates from 1910...
 
Another Impala shot

That's another shot of the Impala in front of another estancia that also belongs to my great aunt, "La Conchera", where she was celebrating it's 150th. anniversary. All the people there are family members. The teenager in the picture is my youngest son Juan.
 
Larger dining room

This is the very nice master dining room of La Conchera, wich comfortably seats 18 people! All the furniture in the house is the same age as the estancia, 150 years. You wouldn't believe the beauties that are inside that house! If you like old furniture, this is it!
 
My great great grandfather's desk

This is my great great granfather's desk. Solid wood, no veneers! The picture doesn't do justice, inasmuch to its enormous size!
 
Bedroom

There are about 6 bedrooms. My wife is standing by one of the large wardrobes. There are about 3 wardrobes per bedroom!
