Everyday whip

Is what this one is. Nothing to hold onto,plus plastic scratchable bumpers, so not good for "riding the whip" lol!

cars of my past...

1976 Eldorado. I owned this one for 19 years. Sold it via Ebay in 2003 for $15,000.00 I puchased it in 1984 for $3800.00, so did really well with this one. I parked it in front of the library to take the pixs for the Ebay auction.

77 Coupe de Ville

Kept this one for about 15 years as a "driver" It just wouldn't wear out! Sold it in 2000.

I had this before the Eldorado convertible. Bought it in 1982 for $1350.00, and sold it in 1984 for $3800.00

my 1958 Chevy

The "hot rod" years.... Was going with a guy in high school that was a real "gear head" for fast cars. So, we had to do this. <: It had a 409 in it.

My Pontiac, purchased in July of 1990

Was this 1962 Grand Prix. I used to buy my cars from the West Coast area. Usually LA. Fly out,find a cool car and drive it back to the Mid West. Keep it for awhile then sell for a profit. It was the days before things like ebay, so I had a good thing going.Rust free western cars were rare around here. People wanted them, but didn't know how to go about getting one. This idea of mine, would pay for my vacation, plus I had money for another car, so it was cool.

This car, I never made any money on. My sister HAD to have it, (and in fact still owns it) so I sold it to her for what I had in it. Now it needs some work again, so will be doing work on this car once again, this summer.

I have some other car pixs, but don't have them scanned.

Thanks Scott! I loved it, but after 19 years it was time to go. I had bought the 55 Cadillac, so it was the Olds, or the Eldo that had to go. So Eldo went. <:

I had a '76 Eldo (not a convertible) and it was a real cream puff---pastel yellow with white leather and white vinyl top. The only problem I had with it was the lack of horsepower with such a huge engine! I got spoiled by the 1970 Eldo!

Your yellow and white '56 looks like a great cruiser.(A series 62?)

You are right about those '77's being nearly indestructible. Everyone I ever knew that had one loved 'em and couldn't wear 'em out. Cadillac must have felt they had much to prove with the first of the "downsized" models. I remember them well at the funeral home, and they drove and handled so much better than the '76 hogs did.

Was the G/P a standard shift?

Hey Steve!
My Eldo was fairly fast, but it had the fuel injection so that may have helped. It was a very heavy car, so the engine still seemed underpowered, considering it was a 500 CID engine.

The yellow and white Cadillac is a 1955 Coupe de Ville.

I loved my 77 Coupe de Ville! It WAS fast! And a fun car to drive. It was a full sized car, but handled like a much smaller car. I finally sold it at 198,000 miles. It never used oil, and the body never rusted. I sold it for $2800.00 in 2000.
