I just bought a packet of normal Skip powder in France. This is Unilever's top of the line biological powder, which very similar banding to UK/Ireland Persil. The scent of the French product is FAR FAR nicer. It's like how a detergent should smell, fresh, a little citrusy. A bit like how Ariel used to smell before it was relaunched with new 'uber-whiff'.
I find Persil in the UK and Ireland now smells kind of non-detergent like, a bit more like a musky shower gel or something.
Why do detergent makers in the UK/Ireland market seem to think they should keep playing with how these products smell?
