I DON'T BELIEVE

IT IS A 1942 MODEL - I WOULD SAY MORE LIKE A 1949 OR SO - MY MOTHER HAD A 1948 AND IT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THIS ONE.

I agree that 1942 is too early, which is why I indicated a less precise "'40s."  Most of the pre-war durable goods still had a '30s look to them, and it wasn't until manufacturers had caught up with post-war demand and retooled toward the later '40s that the sleeker designs started showing up.  Same with cars.

The models from 1946 or earlier used a different type cabinet, with the doors and drawers set into a face frame. I looked online and found ads with ranges like this one that were for the '47 thru '49 model years.

Interesting that this one has the narrow-tube surface units.  When did the wider Radiantubes first appear??

I was wondering the same thing about the <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">burner elements</span> eyes.

Our 1948

Range had the small elements also - Sometime up into the mid to late 50's we had the front big burner replaced and it was with the wide element.
