Here comes Susie Snowflake, with a vengence!

I know those that live in four seasons will get a chuckle but this type of snow here is unusual. This weather system started on Monday, had flurries most of the day, but it was a bit too warm and didn't stick. Yesterday cloudy and cold and today we got this mess. It started in where I work around 11:30 and didn't stop. Left work early and could see about a car length or two head of me. I haven't driven in this sort of mess since I left Kansas City in the late 1980s.

Hey Michael, we had a slight coating of ice here yesterday and caused numerous accidents--I stayed home. And take note, it snowed in New Orleans a week ago!!!

Ahem. What's with that raised finger?

Snow in Las Vegas?

HI *WAVES*!

Poor Heat-miser forced to take the day off.
Snow-miser, however was having a great time!

So do you guys have electrical black-outs during major cold-snaps, like say south Flordia (where everyone basiscally has electric reisastance heatinng),as some electrical grids can't handle the peak demand?

Heating

Steve
we have nice gas fired forced air heating. Last summer had some repairs done and found the unit, a Carrier, was about 24 years old. The whole thing is mounted on the roof and in the attic. As long as the power stays on it's warm.

And though I like the Rosemary Clooney version, I found this odd little version of Susie.

wow been along time since I seen that film. WGN still shows them around xmas every year. WGN bozo show also showed them every year. There were 3 or 4 different ones
