Ok with all this knowledge in this group maybe someone can help me. I have a Fisher quick mount snow plow on my Dodge Ram pu. Have been having problems with it this year. This unit is completely seperate from the vehicle. Pump is mounted to plow frame and all plug in for the power are in the front grille. This year it has started to act strange. Sometimes when you try to put the plow up the pump engages but nothing happens except that it will drain my voltmeter down to zero and the idiot lights come on. Takes about 20 seconds to come back up to 14 volt. Sometimes when you press the button to make it go left it only wants to go right. I have checked the fluid and is right up there. I have used electrical contact gel on all connections no corrosion. What I have discovered this week after plowing three storms and another on the way tomorrow, is that if I shut the power button off on the remote control and wait 2 or 3 seconds then turn it back on it runs fine for awhile. Anyone here have any experience with these units? I am leaning towards the modulation unit that everything plugs into, but that is a very expensive option. Any ideas group???
Thanks Jon
