Doesn't have to be cut and dried....

it is possible to be informative and show a dash of verve.

As for bleaches and bleach alternatives, I like concentrated oxygen powder right now. I have some SunSensation (Huish), and like it quite well.

L - thanks for pointing out the price issue with Vermont Country Store. I forgot to do that. What they charge for simple items like Lifebuoy Soap (small bars yet) and Sweetheart soap are criminal. My biggest laugh was when they were charging something like $11.95 for the Redox Brands Oxydol in the vintage 40's looking box.

Snowy Snow Job

Got a kick out of the old Phyllis Diller TV spot for Snowy (or should that be "snowy", as Gold Seal used to describe it on the box as in "add 1/2 cup of 'snowy' along with your detergent"?). Trouble was it played back pretty dark, and I couldn't tell the washer was a Norge until they pulled in close...just a nit-pick...

However, I have seen neither Snowy powder nor liquid in many stores in the Midwest in the past couple of years. I guess Reckitt-Benckiser's marketing works better on mustard and Airwick than it does on laundry items, since almost none of their regular line is readily available in St. Louis...

For Angus...

Dear Vermont Country Store:

When someone whose ZIP code is 06824 complains about your prices, they really ARE out of whack!

Couldn't resist, Angus!
