So what is this dish?

Hey folks ~

It has just been crazy the last few weeks with house work, some PAW on Friday nights - can make a grown guy tired.

Any-who - picked up this lovely Monterey set last Friday at a garage sale over the lunch hour. As I brought the box up to the seller she indicated that she 'just loved that set'. As I handed her the 10 I said - then it sure is a shame you are selling it.

There are two pieces from this set that I have no clue as to the functionality of. Any suggestions?

Seems the dish sets are following me home at a much higher frequency this summer than washers - anyone else with this problem? Summer seems to bring out the good dish sets - if anyone else has brought some home - please share!

I would say they are either creamers or gravy boats. Or both.

sauceboat would be my guess, as well.

You could, if you were like, totally obsessed, browse the maker's name on Replacements.com, and then look for this pattern, and see what the sauceboat might be.

That is, if you were obsessed.

Yes those are gravy/sauce boats. They have both pour spouts and spoon rests.

Is that stoneware or that melamine stuff? My parents had a set like that in Turquoise back in the mid 60's. It was melamine.

These are stoneware items. At first I thought they were the melamine-style - was quite a surprise when I picked up a plate!
