I guess I am going to have to get a sign for in front of my house that says
SLOW
CHILD
PLAYING

I did not know that the two were related. I bought something, can't even remember what, from Soap.com a long time ago and don't remember there being any mention made of its relation to Amazon. Is this recent? Today there was an email from Amazon saying that I had shown interest in P&G products on Soap.com and they would like to show me more.

Odd

I was looking for a certain type of Celestial tea (they make dozens if not hundreds) and found while Amazon didn't have it, soap.com did. I had to create a new account to order from them, which is just plain annoying.

Apparently Amazon bought diapers.com and soap.com in 2010.

Soap.com?

Out of curiosity, which products do you purchase on Soap.com? I have always found them to be very expensive for the items that I have comparison shopped.

2010, Thanks, SuperSuds

Malcolm, If I remember correctly, I was looking for Bigelow Decaf English Teatime Teabags. Most of the stores stopped carrying them after the 2008 crash. I saw a coupon in some paper or maybe online for free shipping at SOAP.com so I looked, found a good price on several boxes and used the coupon for first time buyers to get a good deal. When I went back, I, like you, laughed at the prices and have not used them since.

Has anyone else noticed that grocery stores have severely cut back on things like Ken's Salad Dressings in favor of cheap store brands and more Tex-Mex brands in the wake of our financial disaster? I mean finding Ken's Thousand Island dressing turned into a two month quest, not that I was making special trips for it, but I looked for it each time I went to a different store. Also, sorbet has disappeared from most grocery stores here. Our GLOBE has an ice cream social each summer and we always offer a choice of the ice cream cake or sorbet so that people will not be in gastric distress after the party. We would not want people getting into trouble for making too much noise in a library, even if it were from involuntary borborygmus. I had to go to three different grocery stores just to find sorbet and it used to be available at most stores.

Perhaps Amazon is in a buying mood... I see that the internet movie data base (imdb) is now "an Amazon company" (noted on the bottom of their page). I guess that explains why there are no more links to free movies on hulu, only to movies that you can purchase from Amazon...

I have readily found Ken's 1000 Island dressing at my HEB.  And Tex-Mex is quite common around her given the migration from the southern border over the last 15 to 20 years.   I'm getting very tired of bilingual packaging and the prominent of the two is not English.
