I call the '65 the Brute, because of it's aggressive nature, it's louder and less gracious than the Rapidry machine, it certainly does have it's battle scars around the tub lip as it was used in very rusty water, the inlet screens were clogged with rust when I got it. I love how loudly it slaps water against the outer tub when it's ramping up to spin, and it's more prone to vibrations than the Rapidry, especially if you forget to load it the "Frigidaire Way"
I'm really surprised how much they hold, more than it would appear they do. I had 6 pairs of pants going in the Rapidry, and 14 shirts in the '65.
I've been thinking I'd like to have a '55 Unimatic to go with the '55 Filtrator, they're such a pretty design. I've shyed away because of how hard everyone says they are to work on, but since I've been to Frigidaire Hell with the Rapidry, and done a pump job and minor roller work on the '65 I think I could do anything I need to with enough time and patience.
