I recently purchased a Dishmaster faucet. I plan to install it in my kitchen but I really don’t want to install a portable dishwasher adapter on it because I think it will negatively change the look of the faucet. So, I thought I would install a faucet off to the side like Robert did and put the adapter on it.

I have been trying to find a picture of Robert’s but I can’t seem to get my hands on one. My kitchen sink is one with three holes in the center and then one off to the far right that was originally intended for a soap dispenser. Years ago I removed the dispenser and added a water filter.

I would like to remove the water filter and add this new faucet in its place. So I guess this is a really long winded way of asking if any of you have done this and have any advice or gotchas on what kind of faucet to purchase. I am afraid if I buy one too small that I won’t have enough leeway to hook up the dishwasher but if it’s too big it might look funny off to the side.

Has anyone else put in one of these?

Here are some photos of the faucet, I just happened to be going through the photos on my phone, and found them. I know we found it online somewhere, and it had to have a removable aerator; some don't. I did a quick search this morning and couldn't find it. I'm pretty sure it took a while to find just the right one, and I think the knob was a separate part from the spout. Maybe it was www.faucetdepot.com

Super Searcheralator Does It Again!

I believe this is the thread Robert posted about the faucet.

Good luck in your search

Hi Fred,

That's a cool looking faucet. Is it one of those water saving jobs or does it supply a substantial flow? Personally, I don't like those low flow faucets or anything else like that. I'm not one to leave the water running when I don't need it and those low flow jobs are aggravating and time wasters. I think I'm going to start looking for the old single handle Deltas and stock up on those for future use.

I assume you're asking about the main sink faucet... We had a single handle Delta that worked well and it had been in place for 10 or so years. It was aging, and we decided to upgrade to something a bit prettier and wanted a different look. We also wanted the garbage disposal switch and a soap dispenser, and of course the separate DW faucet, which replaced a water filter that we never used. The faucet is a Grohe - which is a very well made faucet, we bought it at Lowe's. We don't love it though. We might like it more if we had a deeper sink, it tends to be pretty "splashy" in our sink, and the water doesn't come out aerated, just a regular stream. If you push the button and use the "spray", you need to turn the facuet off to allow the nozzle to reset to the "regular" stream, which is annoying. We will probably go back to a single handle Delta at some point.

I found one on eBay.

Brand new Central Brass 0282. Won the auction for $9.99. SCORE!! Not exactly like Robert's but I guess it's the newer version. The on/off control is a little different other than that looks the same. Can't wait to get it.

I got my faucets set up....But Ouch...

Looks like now I need to re-grout my tiles! Those close up pictures expose all the sins!! LOL.

I got the Dishmaster installed and the Central Brass 0282 faucet (thank you Robert for the recommendation). I won the auction for $9.99 for the dishwasher faucet brand new in the box. Can't complain about that deal. I can't wait to take it for a test drive!!
