Some good dirty fun

This isn’t a Bobload post but a fun cleanability post.

Glass baking pan and lid.
Baked beef braciole in marinara.
KUDS25
Finish Power pac in the main wash.
7th Generation powder in the long 30min PreWash
since I ran Soak & Scrub.
Really not bad results for what I thought was more burned on stuff.

It did great, one more run and it’ll probably come off. Wonder if maybe had you used some Cascade platinum if it would have come all the way off? Did you have the hydro sweep arm in? Burnt on food soils are very difficult for dishwashers to remove in some cases. Most of the time it comes out for me in my 18 yr old Whirlpool. My air fryer always gets these burnt on crusties, and the Powerclean always cleans it perfectly

A half load I did this week, chicken thighs. Oven roasted and broiled at the end, stuck on & burnt on chicken seasoning and all, stuffed it into the top rack, used a Cascade Platinum mountain pac set to normal hi temp scour, the results were as expected! Although during the new year we roasted a prime rib in this pan and it had a hard time removing the crusties from the bottom of the pan I really had to scrub that one a couple times.

Removing blackened burned on food in the dishwasher

I find with roasting dishes and Corningware if I give it a quick spray with nonstick cooking spray before using the pan it almost always comes off completely in the whirlpool power cleans, but if you’ve really turned it into black carbon, it’s probably not gonna come off in any dishwasher without some soaking in mechanical scrubbing before it goes in.

Yes John I’ve found that to be true too. I’ve learned many lessons from not using pam.

That pan came out awesome!

I’ve noticed that the thunderbolt arm scrubs stuff like this a “little” better than the hydro sweep arm.
But I keep the hydro sweep in more often because it’s great and gentle enough for me to put wine glasses on the bottom rack.
