Iron

Hi Guys.

I know this is not about washing machines, but about my Bosch steam generator iron, model no Sensixx B25L.

I bought it just over a year ago and now it has decided to leak brown water all over my stuff which I have neatly ironed.

Been told I can clean the inside by adding white vinegar into the tank, and then keep my hand on the steam button until it has cleared. Tried this and now my iron worst than ever. I have also rinsed it about about 5 times, but still not right.

It was an expensive iron, and would not buy another Bosch iron again.

Designs

Sorry Luke,

Your designs are great. I love the square doors on machines, like the olden days, lol.

BSH Irons

My Mum had a Siemens Iron a few years ago when we lived in Germany, it lasted all of a year before it packed up and stopped heating, she replaced it with a Philips, which is almost 5 years old now and still works and looks like new, and trust me she's rough on her irons, it's taken a tumble down the stairs more than once and landed on tiled floors, yet not a scratch!

Only problem is having to use it with a adaptor now, since it has a schucko plug.

thanks for the comments.... the dispensers are where the LCD display is... it folds out to reveal it... thought it would be a good idea to have it like that...i use microsoft paint to do these machines.
i will post some more designs soon... and ill post the first machine i drew on a computer almost 5 years ago so you can see how ive improved.

Bosch Iron

Hi Matthew.

Yeah, I paid a lot for the Bosch Steam Generator, so well gutted.

Bought a Phillips steam iron, £39.99 in comet, £29.99 in currys for the same thing.

Maybe I should use distilled water in the new one.

Miele Washers

Hi Guys.

I just wondered if anyone got the Miele W1613, W1714 washing machines.

I had a look at these machines, but the plactic door on them put me off. The rest of the machines has a chrome door, which looks so sturdy.

What about that

indcution? Is that a washer with inductionheating or whatever? Or a dryer that pulls inductionwaves to heat up the laundry instead of hot air?

Induction heaters and induction motors

Induction heating works by a strong magnetic field that "induces" (causes) a electric current in metallic objects close to it. This current heats because of Joule effect, that's the same in normal heating coils. Induction hobs heat the stainless steel/cast iron pots/pans, not directly the hob itself or the food inside them

This technology maybe could be used to heat water in a SS tub washer, but is useless in dryers. Someone has tried to use microwaves instead of coils in dryers, but metallic zippers and buttons can cause sparkles and fires.

Induction motors - Some motors have a permanent magnet and some windings that behave as magnet when current passes through them. Magnetic repulsion between magnets generates the revolving movement. It's the case of drain pump motors.
You can feel it while rotating them by hand
Induction motors have further windings instead of permanent magnets. Anyway this link explains better than me

Luke here's the commercial ...

"wash irish, wash green, wash Adams !!"

I like the Aquavive, despite it's a bit Candysh. Only old bosch/siemens had such a variety for separate spin cycles
