When I moved to LA, I was on the hunt for a dining table/chairs of a scale appropriate for an apartment (easier said than done). One I found was the one I purchased at IKEA, which had a choice of beige or red fabric on the seats. I chose red and have not looked back. There's a fair bit of red in this house and I'm really enjoying it.
Please bear with me as you look at the first picture, as I don't at this time have a pink triangle cookie jar to pose with this new percolator (LOL). I just learned these existed recently per Gadget Gary's post, and now I have one! It makes great coffee. Note the toaster cover as well; I have a matching mixer cover on its way.
On to the mixer then: this is a Montgomery Ward interpretation of a Sunbeam Mixmaster, circa approximately 1970. One of my aunts on my dad's side had this one, I'm pretty sure I was with her when she bought it. The bowl switch is in front, the beater ejector is the pushbutton variety, and the motor housing surrounds the mixfinder dial on this model, and you have a thumbswitch for moving it (you can see the round dial if you look underneath). It has the newer style detachable cord. The labels for each speed are identical to the Sunbeam. Oddly, there are markings for "juicing" and "attachments", like the Sunbeam, even though this model has no attachment port. It works great! I have a model 10 Sunbeam that I had been using, but it developed that famous old mixmaster malady of only running on high speed. I'm going to send it off to be overhauled since I really like it.
